And then there were none…

At Native we have broken the digital ecosystem into 4 pillars. Owned, earned, bought and of course managed. We call managed, managed because the brand does not own the space. I always explain the difference to client using MXit and Facebook as examples. With MXit you pay for your space, your contact, your bot, whatever. Facebook you don’t.

G*n to whose head?

I was interviewed by The Digital Edge for Native’s perspective on digital et al. for 2011 (coming soon). I was asked by Saul if I thought that late adopters weren’t influencers. My answer was no, particularly in a South African context, where access was the primary barrier to technology adoption.

Dear Facebook

While you’re at it, please could you consider adding the following features/functions:

1. Suggest friends to people based on Fan Page likes, in such a way that common interests are aggregated and friends are suggested to me because we both like ASOS, Superdry & The Sweet Remains. Please give me the choice to activate this feature. Please allow me to choose how many Fan Pages we have in common as a filter.
